Why only local flowers?
Flowers are a highly perishable good and their transport around the world through the global agriculture trade has an enormous carbon footprint. We are exceptionally fortunate to be located in an area where flower farmers flourish, granting us access to unprecedented beauty. By using local flowers, we’re able to support small farms, and spread joy without causing harm to our environment.
Why don’t you use floral foam?
Floral foam breaks down into microplastics after use and can contaminate waterways, causing harm to aquatic organisms and the general environment. We strive to reduce elements in our practice that contribute to the waste stream or environmental degradation. We are open to the design challenges that being foam free can present, and we have skillful alternatives to achieve stunning installations and long lasting arrangements without the use of floral foam.
Is your farm open to the public?
At this time, our farm is not open to the public. We look forward to hosting classes at the farm in the not too distant future.
